MBRC engaged Ryan Civil Contracting to carry out the widening and reconstruction of Samsonvale Road, Kentwood/Elmwood Drive intersection upgrade, major drainage work, pathway construction, street lighting and bus shelter relocation. Traffic and safety management was a priority for this project, as works were conducted adjacent to a heavily trafficked roadway.
Project Summary
- 330m2 box out and placement of CBR material to new design falls
- 170m of stormwater drainage
- 550m2 of concrete pathway
- Supply and install 112m of fauna exclusion fencing (as per TMR standards)
- 330m2 of AC pavements including all base courses
- Installation of suburban bus shelter and relocation of various street furniture
- Removal and reinstatement of old line marking to suit new road profile
- Supply and installation of turf and landscaping
